Raising Out Of Poverty

Hello there!

My name is Trenda Taylor and I am seeking funds to help my family (me and my son) start/grow an online business. My son sources products and sells on both eBay and Amazon but hasn't been able to grow to a point where we can take a salary out. Growth is completely stifled by lack of funds. We are both underemployed, living in Rhode Isalnd with the worst unemployment rate in the U.S. and have been looking for full time work for quite some time now. We'd love to bootstrap but lack of job opportunities doesn't make this an option. We've also tried applying for a business micro-loan of $2,000 from a non profit here locally which gets government money and is supposed focus on low income entrepreneurs, but got turned down because of how little we bring in as a house hold. Too poor for loans for the poor!

Anyways, all funds raised via this campaign will be solely put towards inventory to grow our business. The business is focused on cell phone accessories. The small amount of inventory we have now is purchased wholesale. We have plans of starting a private label line of cell phone cases starting with the iPhone. Manufacturers, suppliers, style of cases, brand name, marketing, etc are all planned out already and the only thing stopping us now are the lack of funds to make that first order. My son does hours of research and reading on these topics and has a brilliant mind. This is the first of many businesses he'll start in his life but he can't grow, move onto bigger projects and provide value to the world in greater ways if this first business can't even get off the ground. Right now the only thing seperating us from living below the poverty line and being 100% self sufficient is the few thousand dollars needed to really launch this business properly.

It would be a blessing to grow into financial independence and pay it forward.
