Raising money to expand much-loved children’s holiday and out of school club

Hello future friend of club Funtastic!

We are a before/ after school club and holiday club based in the beautiful Christchurch area of Dorset that has been an established part of the community for 20 plus years.

We are extremely passionate about our children and pride ourselves on running a service that supports local schools and parents with their childcare needs as well as offering a stimulating, supportive, creative and learning environment that strongly encourages healthy values and good behaviour.

We provide the children with a variety of exciting activities such as arts and craft, sewing, sports, music, science experiments and much more. We also encourage healthy eating and provide the children with a full hot meal afterschool, as well as fruit for a snack.

We have a vision to be the best and we want to offer our children so much more. We are an extremely ambitious club who have many exciting plans for the future.

Currently we need funding for our current set up to help provide more staff for the children across our sites as well as to pay for new toys, activities, accessories/materials and equipment, days out/ activity days and trips away to visit the areas of beauty we have to offer in Dorset.

We also need funding for a larger goal…

At the moment we have about 20 staff and 5 clubs which are based within local community centres and schools. However, ultimately we do not want to rely on schools and centres to have a base for our clubs because this restricts the time and use of facilities that we need. We need more room and a place to call our own that we can pour our heart and soul into to make something really special for the children. This has been a goal from the start but we need your help, and your funding could make the difference for the children that we are so keen to make.

Part of that vision is to build our own nursery for children aged 2 – 5 years old, and our biggest goal is to build our own ‘transfer’ school for children aged 7 to 18 years old, supporting children with learning and behavioural disabilities that have struggled to cope with normal comprehensive school. We want to give them an environment where they feel nurtured, accepted and free to be creative and learn in their own way in order to give them the best possible chance of developing their unique talents and skills for the future.

We want to give as much back to the children and community as possible and with your help we can achieve our most ambitious goals and do everybody proud!
