Raising Money for the Smiths Falls Food Bank

Introduction

Hello, I'm a Grade 8 student living in Smiths Falls, Ontario, Canada. We have a food bank in Smiths Falls as do many towns across North America.  There are local charities that already raise awareness and food donations for the food bank throughout the year, but I've learned that food banks also need money so that they can buy product in bulk and pay for their facilities. I've started this very small "Go-Get-Funding" campaign to encourage my family and friends to support our local food bank.  I will donate all the money I receive from this campaign to the Smiths Falls Community Food Bank.  The campaign will run until December31, 2014. 

The Smiths Falls Community Food Bank

The Smiths Falls Community Food Bank operates an emergency food distribution centre in Smiths Falls, Ontario, Canada.  It is a member of the Ontario Association of Food Banks.  They partner with local service clubs for activities  throughout the year.  My school recently participated in the  "Stuff a Cruiser" campaign.  You can find the food bank online on Facebook and their contact information here. I aim to raise $100 by December 31, 2014.  You can donate any amount.  I'd recommend a $5 minimum.  If everyone donates $5, I will only need 20 donations to reach my goal!
