In 2016 I moved to Shanghai, China to become a business English teacher. After establishing myself within the company and making lasting connections, I had to return home due to some family problems.
After a few months at home I decided I needed to go back to Shanghai and build on my teaching career in the best way possible. I went back as a student studying Mandarin with an end goal of studying education at a Chinese university.
I've been able to study and work from 9am to 9pm almost every day for the past two years. During this time, I've been able to work my way up through HSK 1, 2, and 3 (Standard Chinese proficiency tests) and I'm working towards finishing my HSK 4 to continue on to my final goal. Sadly though, because of the cost of regular trips back home to apply for new visas, I have run out of money.
I need to be able to fund my studies for the next six months (about $1,750) as well as pay for plane tickets and rent (which I currently have enough money saved to pay for.)
I believe I have a lot to offer students and I would greatly appreciate any help that would allow me to continue to study hard and follow my career dreams.
