I have been writing my whole life. In 2018, when I was 20 years old, I managed to publish two novels: "Nikolay Vasilevsky," a postmodern story about a count who keeps a baker locked in his basement, and a more classic thriller "Craven Hill Abbey", about a young girl placed in a dark and twisted monastery.

Three years ago, before the publication of these novels, I spent months working on another thriller, named "The Malwark Terror". I figured the book would be around 400 pages long, but it turned to be 600 pages. While at my university, I spent my time thinking about the plot or characters, which meant I was actually living and breathing the story. The story focused on three boys: Myles, George and Alfie and their lives during the 1993/1994 school year. But at the same time, other kids from their city are missing, and the trio realize that an elderly, secluded old hag, nicknamed "Barra," is responsible for the disappearances. The book's central themes are friendship and growing up, but it also touches the themes of politics and alcoholism.

The book turned out to be greater than I expected. I fell in love with the setting, the characters, the plot. Each character was multi-dimensional, and I was mostly inspired by literary realist writings (works of Charles Dickens especially). With all my heart and soul I believe "The Malwark Terror" deserves to be published. I don't need to gain any money from its sales (and I most likely won't, just like it was the case with my previous novels), I only care about getting it out there, i.e. publishing it.

The thing is, I have publishers. I have found a good publishing house that wants to release the novel, but they simply lack the money to do so. So they asked me to try to get some donations. Any money is thoroughly appreciated. The publishing house said they needed around 15 000 kunas, which is approximately 2000 dollars.

Once published, I hope I'll be able to translate the book into English, as its setting is England, and the whole book has an English vibe to it. So if you do consider donating for this cause, I really hope you will see this novel one day in a store in the anglophone world.

Just briefly, about me: I am a graduate student from Zagreb, Croatia. All my life I have been doing art, mainly writing stories and writing music. I am currently studying English literature and comparative literature at my university. My music is available on YouTube under the name "Paladin Mode."

Thank you in advance.
