Raising Genesis

Introduction:

Hello,

My name is Rachael and I was born and raised in Tucson, Az. I currently attend the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona in hopes on getting my masters in finance and business management. I have been well on my way to graduating until I was diagnosed with MS in 2011, and my path to graduation became extremely difficult with constant doctor appointments, follow ups and treatments. I have always been a go getter and have volunteered for RMHC, Ben's Bells, and local hospitals.  In May of 2013 I was hospitalized for severe stomach cramping and vomiting and found out that I was pregnant. I was so scared because of all the medications I had been on, specifically because I had been put on birth control because of the ill effects my medication could have on a child.  After months of being hospitalized for a fever of over 102 degrees my doctors sent me home to recover and re-gain my strength. During my stay home I received extensive medical bills for my stay in the hospital totaling over $53,000. I later learned that because I was pregnant my insurance no longer decided to cover my medical expenses.  I called and wrote the insurance several times and have been denied any coverage since May of 2013. I have no one to ask, my family doesn’t support my decision to keep my child, and the government won’t allow me any assistance because I am a full time student on a scholarship. 

A little goes a long way:

I am trying to raise money to help pay for my medical expenses, and prevent more of them from going into collections. I also haven't been able to prepare for my baby girl since all my money has been going towards medical bills and everyday living expense. She is expected to be born Jan 20, 2014; however my doctor thinks I will be lucky to make it till 34 weeks which is around Dec 15, 2013.  

Please if anyone has any ideas on what I can do, or how I can get assistance in paying bills I would forever be thankful for any type of donation or advise you may have.
