To raise Funds to buy Personal Preventive Equipments for Frontline Health Workers , Doctors,Journalists and Volunteers in Mpanda Tanzania.

At a time when People are confined to their homes.the Community Radios have assumed more significance importance especially to the hard_to reach places like in the mines and rural areas respectively. Community Radios have now assumed more importance because they play an important role in making People aware of Covid 19 Pandemic and through these Radios People get reliable information about the infection /helps People to interact and share their experiences

The Discussions on the Radios is always based on the contempoary issues including issues about covid 19,.story reading sessions,children segments where children ask questions related to covid 19 and get correct answers from the host ,experiences of the ordinary people on how they cope with this pandemic is aslo included in the show.

OUR CAMPAIGN: To raise funds to buy (PPE_Personal Preventive Equipments to all Health Workers ,Doctors,Journalists.and Volunteers working in all Hospitals ,Mpanda Raiway Station and Mizengo Pinda Regional Bus Stations,Lake Tanganyika Port .

THE FUNDS WILL BE USED TO PURCHASE THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:

1.200 Personal Preventive Equipments(PPE) will be distributed to all Health Workers, Doctors, Journalists, and Volunteers working in the Region during this Covid 19 crisis.

2. Latex Gloves ,Masks, Soap ,Water Tanks and Sanitizers will aslo be distributed to vulnerable families, prisoners,Orphans and youth working in the mines.

3.The 10 piecies of Digital Thermometers to be distributed to Health Workers and Doctors. working in different places chosen by the Government in the Region. As you know Katavi Region is bordered by Congo.Rwanda and Burundi which makes the Region to be very vulnerable to tackle the Covid 19 Pandemic.

4.Community Radio's Covid 19 awareness Campaigns in the Region

Funds raised will aslo be used to sponsor awareness and preventive campaigns through Our Community Radios.which reaches many people.The Programs in the Radio will be structured in such a way that will entice alot of Young People in the area.The show will include some questions related to Corona 19 pandemic posed to Listeners with the host expecting answers from the Listerners.Some Health officers will aslo be invited to give clarification on some issues and the show will aslo accomodate some section for children where chidren will be allowed to ask questions to the Host.The show will be interactive, intertaining and educative.

The Total amount needed for medical equipments of covid 19 and sponsoring Radio awareness campaigns is 12000 U$ Dollars.
