A few days ago, thanks to the Twitter community, I was able get help for a dog that was hit by a car. With the help of Animal Rescue PH and rescuer Sir Leonard Co, I along with my husband Herwin, were able to bring the dog to a vet. Since her leg was severely damaged, it took a while for the vets to patch her up and close the wound. Thankfully, the vets said there was no longer a need for her leg to be amputated as they were able to save it.
As concerned pet owners ourselves, we felt that we needed to help her even if she wasn't our own since we see her on a daily basis as she lives close by. Moreover, since she wasn't given a proper name by her owners as they just refer to her as doggie, we decided to name her "Small" as that was how we referred to her every time we would see her around. Small was also the name we used when we filled up the documents when we brought her to the vet.
This time, we are asking for the community's help once again to help in funding for Small's medical expenses and rehabilitation as we wish to give her a better life once she's out of the vet. The medical bills alone reached P8,000 not including the antibiotics and other meds she would be needing.
We are more than happy for any help that comes our way and would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We will continue to post updates about Small's road to recovery!
