Raising Funds For My Mum

Hi, I’m Grace. I’m seeking help here as I’m running out of solutions and getting really desperate. I’m the only child and I stay with my elderly mum. I’m the sole breadwinner. She is mobile but cannot walk around on her own. Doctors have advised that she cannot risk any falls. She needs assistance with daily routine like toileting and showering. I had a helper at home to take care of her while I’m at work, but helper had to go back home urgently as her own mum back home had a stroke and is in coma. With the extremely short notice, I’m not able to get in a new helper as the upfront payment for agency fees and helpers’ loan is extremely high(thousands of dollars in SGD) and I do not have the ability to pay. Putting my mum temporarily at a nursing home is not an option as well. I have checked out a few and the fees are equally high. Getting subsidy will take months to process. I’m not able to wait that long as I need to get back to work. My bills are piling up and SP services(electricity and water supply) may terminate the services anytime. I was working as a Property Agent for a while but business has been lacklustand I’ve depleted my savings to top up for household bills and daily expenses. I couldn’t renew my license this year as I was not able top up my Medisave. I’ve now found a job and salary is just about enough to sustain after paying for my then helper and household expenses. I still have all the backlog of bills which I need to clear. Now that helper is gone, I can’t get back to work and that means totally no income for me. It took me quite abit of courage to even try to resort to this website to get help but I’ve exhausted all means of getting help from people I know. My main aim is to ensure my mum is well taken care of so I can get back to work ASAP. Really getting helpless at this moment and I really seek kind souls for help.
