Raising funds for Mary Kihn School for the Deaf

3rd year Audiology Students at UCT have clinical placements at Mary Kihn School for Hearing Impaired and Deaf Learners each term. After conducting a needs analysis at school, it was decided to start a fundraising page for the school's Speech and Audiology department. The allocated budget for the department of Speech and Audiology leaves a significant short fall so that school therapists and family have to maintain services throughout the year.

This department's wishlist:

• ventilators for booth
• carpeting
• creating an actual office space

• Equipment -verification machine - a diagnostic audiometer - a tympnometry machine
• Recorded speech stimuli (Xhosa and Afrikaans)
• FM Systems
• clothing clips
• batteries and tubing
• General hearing aid repairs
