Raising Funds for Cancer Medical Expenses

I'm asking for your assistance, Graham a father of 5 has been diagnosed with Cancer in December 2016, he started his Chemotherapy and Radiation treatment on 28December 2016, he is following a 6 weeks programme of radiation Monday to Friday (15 min sessions) and chemotherapy pills daily.

What a shock to see how much medical expenses costs these days - just to give you an idea:

• The Chemotherapy pills costs - R8500.00
• The Radiation therapy costs - R60,000.00

Not to mention all the doctors visits, scans (MRI, CT scan, blood works ect)

And this is only the start, once this 6 week session is complete, an operation awaits and then another chemotherapy session - and that is if all goes well.

What I came to realise, it that the medical aids do not cover all the costs, some have limited resources for oncology, some have partial payments, What most medical aid companies do, is to suggest that you move to a better package (costing sometimes double or triple what you are paying now) to ensure that you are covered more/better.

My heart goes out to the patients and families, who not only worry about Cancer, the treatment (side effects) but also about the money.

I'm asking for assistance in making Graham's experience less stressful.

It would be great to help others in need .... if you just go and visit an oncology hospital and sit for an hour in the reception area, to see the patients come and go, to see the various stages of cancer/treatment, to see hope and despair, to see pain.... it is heart-braking.
