Good day all,I'm a 37 year old female, residing in the Northern Suburbs of Cape town,Kraaifontein to be exact.
My story is one of a lot of Pain,Hatred, guilt and now recovery. It started on the morning of 21 October 2014,when i took my two year old daughter to her daycare. I carried her in my arms and told her Mommy Love you and i went off to work in the train i usually took. I worked straight shifts from 8 to 5 Monday to Friday, a Position i applied for just to not work weekends and to spend more time with my baby girl. I got home that evening and did not suspect anything when i did not find her and went further into the house only to find 4 boys in the lounge area but still no sign of Marche'. The boys told me that the owner of the daycare had gone to the shop but not sure if she took my baby along. we phoned her to confirm where my baby was and she said she had left my baby with the boys,at home. I started running through the house and out the sliding door toward the pool area. That is where i found the most horrific scene that no perant should find.
My baby girl floating in the pool, face down. She was declared dead at the Kraaifontein day hospital at 19h10. The owner was found Not Guilty, for Negligence, by a magistrate. My heart is shattered. My recovery is going to take forever. This campaign will help me to face my fears and also make other perants vigilant and make daycare owners more aware of the importance for covering the pool and safety. Please help us with funding to start up this capmpaign. There is also a swmimming school opened in Honour of Marche' Bailey.
Thank you all very much.
