Raising Amber

Raising Amber is charity foundation which was started by me to raise funds for my daughter Amber. Due to complications during birth Amber is now a 14 year old with Cerebral Palsy. My goal was to start having fundraisers to enable Amber to have a normal life by purchasing the equipment or aids needed for her but I soon realized that the need is much greater than I had imagined.

Amber is a true blessing to all who enter her life, she never allows her disability to get her down. She constantly has a smile on her face and her drive to achieve anything that she puts her mind too is remarkable. The use of her hands are very limited but she has taught herself to write, draw and type with her toes. She has a passion to learn and wants to write her own book one day on her life and we would like to make that dream come true.

Amber is home schooled as the area which we live in does not have mainstream schools for the disabled and we have found equipment that allows her to sit in front of the laptop or PC and type using her eyes. We are asking you to please help us.

Currently our first goal is to buy the stuff for Amber and in the future we would like to expand and open a school for the disabled that offers the mainstream curriculum.

Amber loves people and loves the out doors, she is an adrenaline junkie and wants to do everything from sky diving, to F1 racing. We have met wonderful people along the way who have helped her tick a few items of her bucket list like flying and meeting firemen.

"Knowledge is power " and we would like Amber to have this power to help others to be all they can be. To learn that the only thing holding us back in life is ourselves, that our mindsets determines our path in life. That living with a disability only makes you stronger than someone living without because you have so much to prove.
