Raising a Bob for Bobby & Our WRWR Adventure

After being in New Zealand for 6 months from the UK, my work visa has finally arrived for three years. However in just a little over 3 months I am to take part in a worldwide motorcycle event which I have been part of from the beginning:

It started in the UK in February and is making its way across the globe Women Riders World Relay A relay of epic proportions, travelling across more than 80 countries. Women riders from across the globe will be handing a baton from country to country all to raise awareness of women in the motorcycle industry and to unite and inspire women riders all over the world.

It will arrive in New Zealand in September. I am part of the volunteer team helping to organise the event here with my role being social media marketing, photography and videography. All of which I already do as a hobby for my Motorcycle Travels blog. We will have 4 days to ride the 1,900km from Waitangi to Invercargill, not to mention the ride back home. Although we have managed to secure discounts on lots of aspects of the trip we will still need to pay for it out of our own money. But this is such an incredible opportunity, one not to be missed!

When my husband and I came to New Zealand it was just with a few bags of belongings and the only money I had for another motorbike was a the small amount I had made from selling my motorbike in England, which didn't amount to a lot. However I was able to secure a purchase on a 2005 Suzuki GSF 650cc Bandit, Bobby. But at the price I got it, it didn't come without its problems. I have managed to do the majority of the work myself, but being out of work so long, I haven't had the funds to get all the work complete.

So now the pressure is on, I have just over 3 months to get back on the road from needing the bike repaired, to new motorbike gear and to cover trip costs etc. So bring on 'Raising a Bob for Bobby and Our WRWR Adventure' campaign.
