Raise 22q11 awareness – research – write scientific book in german for parents of children with 22q11

I'm a twins mother. My twins were born in 2013, last year my son was diagnosed with 22q11 syndrome. Although it's the 2nd most common syndrome after the Down syndrome - at least in Germany - I was not able to find enough information to understand what my son has, how it can possibly affect his life etc. I joined Facebook and Instagram groups in English, discovered English books containing much more information than I was able to get here. Since I'm a graduate translator for German, Italian and English I want to make all this information available to German families with children having this same syndrome. Since I work full time I would need financial support to have the time to write a book in German language and to be able to present it to a publishing company.

Mein Zwillingspärchen wurde 2013 geboren, letztes Jahr wurde bei meinem Sohn das 22q11 Syndrom diagnostiziert. Obwohl es nach dem Down-Syndrom das zweithäufigste Syndrom bei Neugeborenen ist, konnte ich für meine Bedürfnisse keine ausreichenden Informationen darüber in deutscher Sprache finden. Ich habe mich auf Facebook und Instagram englischsprachigen Gruppen angeschlossen, habe Bücher in englischer Sprache entdeckt, die weitaus mehr Informationen beinhalten, als ich sie hier finden konnte. Ich möchte diese Informationen vollumfänglich auch deutschsprachigen Eltern zugänglich machen. Mein wissenschaftlicher Hintergrund als Diplom-Übersetzerin für Deutsch, Italienisch und Englisch ist mir - und hoffentlich anderen Eltern - eine Hilfe, die wissen möchten, wie der aktuelle Stand der Forschung dazu aussieht. Da ich Vollzeit arbeite benötige ich finanziellen Freiraum, um dieses Projekt zu starten und zu Ende zu führen. Über einen Buchverlag, der das beendigte Projekt publiziert würde ich mich ebenfalls freuen.
