Hello Everybody and thank you for visiting my Sponsorship page!!

My name is Raiden Adams and I am 13 years old. I have a longed-for dream and goal to receive country colours and become a Junior Protea and be able to represent South Africa in the 2017 World Wushu Championships in China (held by the International Wushu Federation).

3 years ago I found a style of Kung Fu that became my passion and my life - Wushu - under the guidance of Sifu Jurgens Lamprecht at the South African Traditional and Modern Wushu Federation. After only 1 year of training at the school, I received Junior Gauging Colours and have grown in strength and experience and competed in many Open and National competitions here in South Africa and been placed in the top 3 almost overtime.

HOW I NEED YOUR HELP:

I have the stepping stone and opportunity to fulfil my dream of becoming a Protea by being able to train and compete in China in October this year at the International Wushu Martial Arts Championships for 3 weeks. In order for me to partake in this "once-in-a-lifetime" opportunity, I need to raise the funds to cover all travel costs me to get to China. I would really really appreciate and be forever grateful for any donations you have to offer!

For more info please visit: www.iwuf.org or http://www.wudangwushu.org or www.sawushufederation.org.za

Please kindly share my page and campaign with friends and colleagues and family!

Many thanks

Raiden Adams

WHAT IS WUSHU?

Wushu, which is also referred to as kung-fu, is the collective term for the martial art practices which originated and developed in China, and wushu is the well-spring of all Asian martial practices. Over its long history, wushu has developed into numerous distinct styles and systems, each incorporating their own techniques, tactics, principles and methods, as well as the use of a wide variety of traditional weaponry. The differing styles that have emerged focus on many aspects of combat, but more importantly they have absorbed the popular philosophies and moral practices of the people in China over the past 5000 years of development. With that, wushu has developed into more than just a simple system of attack and defense and has become a way to cultivate the body, mind and spirit in a positive way that is beneficial to all that practice it.
