Radiation Therapy For Ralph’s Pituitary Macroadenoma

My name is Alaric Cabiling, and I started this fundraising campaign on behalf of my sister-in-law, Liza Cabiling. Liza Cabiling seeks to raise funds for Mr. Ralph Kevin Aquino, who is a member of her team and was diagnosed with Pituitary Macroadenoma.

Most pituitary adenomas are slow-growing and benign, which means they are not cancer and do not spread to other parts of the body. However, as they grow big, they can put pressure on nearby structures, such as the nerves that connect the eyes to the brain and cause symptoms. Ralph had undergone excision surgery back in 2017. However, to prevent the tumor from growing back, radiation therapy treatment needs to follow the surgery. In Ralph's case, he could not follow through with the treatment due to financial constraints. Today, the treatment will cost approximately Php 300,000.00.

Unfortunately, the tumor has grown back to full size and is pressing on his optic nerve, which may, if not treated, cause him to go blind.

The treatment is for 30 consecutive weekdays, exclusive of COVID pre-testing, which will mean an additional 14 days of being unable to work. He has been on Leave of Absence (LOA) since September 1st and will be back by November still. His salary will be on hold during this time, and our HMO will only shoulder a mere 10% of the treatment package. As such, he will need financial assistance to complete the treatment. We implore you to share whatever amount you can to help Ralph get back in good health and continue living a full life even with this disability.
