My Music Pedagogy Journey

Hello! Hi there. How are you? Hope you are doing fine and am moving one step closer to your dreams. I come from the sunny island called Singapore and this is me story.

Rachel has had reservations embarking on this journey but she has decided to pursue what she loves albeit very much occupied by her full-time job. Over the years, music has been an integral part of Rachel's life and she has been utilising and developing her talents to serve in the music ministry and imparting her knowledge and skills to those keen on knowing more about music in general.

For the longest time, she was at the crossroads, deciding whether or not to pursue this or let it all go. Giving up is easy and failure may be inevitable but the worse thing to do is never trying at all. Even now, specialising in the arts is not a path well trodden. It isn’t a iron rice bowl Nor is it a path that sets you on the yellow brick road.

Given her resilience and perseverance, she has embarked on her learning journey in music/music pedagogy so that she will be well-equipped and be more effective in her current methods. She currently aims to raise about $4200 which will fund music lessons and pedagogical certification courses which are usually held abroad. These courses reduce the focus on exams and delve deep into one's musicality which essentially will help one to appreciate music so much more.

Rachel also believes that music empowers people, opens mind and may even be that beacon of hope when all is lost. You’ll be surprise to know how music lifted the spirits of the veterans during WWII. Isn’t it just amazing?
