Campaign Story
I am designing a pair of arthritic-friendly hair cutting shears because I was a hairdresser who had to quit doing hair because of Arthritis. I am now an AutoCAD drafter and wanted to marry my two degrees to create something to help other hairdressers stay in the business they love longer.
So far I have made one 3D printed prototype. I had a few hairdressing friends look, touch and feel how they were, with the intention of getting feed back for a better fit. I have done some redesigning and now working on the second 3D prototype. To date, with the help from family and friends, everything I have done has not cost me any money. With that said, I also do not have a patent of any kind yet. I have done some patent research myself but I would feel much better leaving it to the professionals. I do have a Patent Lawyer waiting for me to come up with the funds to get the 1 year patent pending status. Then as things play out I will get the regular patent. I also have a manufacturing company in Baltimore, Md. that I have researched and met the owner. They can take me from square one to market as soon as I am ready with the funds. I am asking for $10000 at this time. I know that it will cost much more in the long run but this is where I would like to start right now. I will ask for more as needed.
Thank you all for your help and support,
Regina Miller
