R.I.P Angela Poirier

My Grandmother Angela Poirier died of cancer on October 25, 2015. We recently found out this devistating news earlier in the year that she had a lump in her breast. Cancer isnt anything to play with we loved our grandmother very much. I was named after my grandmother but spelt differently. I loved her very much even though I didnt see much of her lately since she lived so far away but she was always there for me supporting me in every step I made and she gave me great strong advice daily I miss her dearly. She did not have the proper buriala at home where she was raised and none of the family members got a chance to go since it was so far from home so I am raising some money to do so she will be missed very much. Any support and condolence's would be a blessing. Here is a little story

BEACON FALLS — Angela Sevalena Poirier, 64, of Beacon Falls, died peacefully on Oct. 25, 2015 at Griffin Hospital, Derby. Born in Kingston, Jamaica on May 2, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Mercedes Corwell.

Mrs. Poirier immigrated to the U.S. in 1963 and was a longtime resident of Bridgeport. She was a graduate of Bassick High School and Nursing School earning her Registered Nurse designation. Mrs. Poirier worked as an RN for St. Vincent’s Medical Center of Bridgeport for many years before moving to Las Vegas, Nev., in 2005. She returned to Connecticut in 2015 and settled in Beacon Falls to be close to her family. She was a spiritual lady; she enjoyed singing in the choir and the fellowship and community that she found in her church.
