Qwey-D’s Nursing School Fundraiser

Greetings!

My name is Shaqwe'yddeus Zyniik Vines. I am more commonly known as "Qwey-D." I am a 21 year old native of Lafayette, AL; and I am currently a nursing major at Auburn University. I am blessed to have been selected in the top tier of candidates to pursue my journey in Auburn University's School of Nursing (AUSON). I will begin my journey as a nursing school student on Monday, August 21, 2017 [7 am sharp]. I currently work at Chipotle Mexican Grill, and I have been awarded scholarships for nursing school. However, there are many expenses that my financial aid/scholarships will not cover. They include uniforms, equipment, books that are needed for orientation (which is a mandatory 3-day event the week before classes start), and gas money for transportation to and from clinicals (which will take place weekly and often in Opelika, AL, Columbus, GA, Birmingham, AL, and/or Atlanta, GA.). I am in love with Jesus Christ! I am an extremely driven student, and I truly believe in hard work. I have earned spots on the Presidential Honor List, as well as the Dean's List more than three times. So, I can assure you that my best effort is always given. However, my lovely mother is a single parent of three (My father is deceased). She does an absolutely amazing job by herself. She has inspired me in so many ways. And because of her, I have learned the importance of hard work and sacrifice. But college is extremely expensive. I actually started my college journey at UAB, and I was unable to pursue my sophomore year there because of financial strains. But by God's Grace and with my extreme perseverance, He made a way for me to get back on track. I will not allow anything to get in my way. I am a firm believer that God will provide. He has blown my mind so much the past few months. But I do believe we all need a little help/support at times. My prayer is that you will find it in your hearts to make a generous donation (monetary or one of the items below) towards my journey, and that God will bless you in abundance with all that you are in need of. I have provided a list of the items needed below.

• A good Wrist watch with a second hand
• A Littmann dual head stethoscope (Bell and Diaphragm)
• Nursing shoes or tennis shoes (size 9, must be all white)
• Badge/Card holder (prefer personalized; my favorite color is turquoise)
• iPhone (will be used heavily for Dose Calculation, other medical apps, etc)
• Good Laptop (with good storage)
