Qurbani is the act of sacrificing a livestock animal. It takes place after Eid-ul-Adha prayers, marking the conclusion of Hajj. Millions of Muslims around the world honour the tradition of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) by sacrificing an animal and then distributing the meat to family, neighbours and the poor.

Qurbani is an act of worship and is one of the good deeds that will bring a person closer to Allah during these ten days is offering a sacrifice, by choosing a high-quality animal and fattening it, spending money for the sake of Allah. Friends Of Community Charity Association in Gaza strives to offer the high-quality animals for sacrifice since the believer is asked to love for his brother/sister that which he/she loves for him/herself.

Qurbani is obligatory upon every sane Muslim whose is eligible to pay zakat.

Fresh Meat Distribution

Friends Of Community Charity Association only distributes fresh Qurbani meat, as all the animals are purchased and slaughtered locally. As a rule, we will distribute one Qurbani meat packet to each family unless there are exceptional circumstances.

Friends Of Community Charity Associationstrives to select the neediest people in the most poor areas in Gaza strip.

We strive to keep these costs to a minimum by sourcing animals as close to the needy as possible. The price charged include all the associated costs incurred to ensure your Qurbani reaches the needy, for example, purchase, slaughter, transportation and distribution costs, etc.

Eid Ul-Adha - 2018 | 1439

Friends Of Community Charity Association will provide Qurbani to poor families in all areas of Gaza Strip.

Qurbani Price:

US$380 (£260) Qurbani Lamb
US$260 (£230) Qurbani Calf (1/7 Share)
US$1800 (£1400) Qurbani Whole Calf (7 Shares)

Why Qurbanis are so expensive?!

Since the Gaza Strip has been under occupation for decades. Therefore, the Gaza Strip does not have the autonomy to transport animals and goods, but it is shipped to the Israeli entity and then enters the Gaza Strip, causing more taxes and costs on storage, not to mention the high prices of livestock feed. These are the main reasons for the rise in livestock prices in the Gaza Strip compared to other countries.

Name Being Called Out At The Time Of Slaughter

It is also not necessary to give the name of the person, for whom the Qurbani is being offered. As long as you have made the intention that you are giving this Qurbani on behalf of a certain person that is sufficient, for your Qurbani to be accepted.

However, we can make arrangements for a name to be called out. If you wish for us to try and make these additional arrangements then you need to forward the website payment confirmation email, with the names you wish to be called out to [email protected], at least 2 days before Eid-ul-Adha.
