The Queensland Cyclone is an Ice hockey travel team comprised of 23 development players (11-13 year old) that have been selected to represent their sport domestically and abroad. Players have been selected for their on-ice abilities, team spirit and off-ice deportment.
The team will travel to Dunedin on June 29 and return from Queenstown on July 8. The team will play 8 – 9 games and have 7 – 8 on-ice trainings, plus other off-ice sessions during the 9-day trip. Training sessions will be either 90 minutes or one hour in duration. This is a substantial amount of high quality hockey during the trip!
Our primary objective is to provide opportunities for the development of committed Peewee aged kids, and the overall improvement of competitive ice hockey in Queensland, we have selected 20 skaters and 3 goalies for the New Zealand tour. This enables as many committed kids as practical to participate in this opportunity.
