The Queen Lozikeyi Support Fund is a fund to help the Queen Lozikeyi Players who are drawn from different parts of the Bulawayo Community. Girls often face many challenges when participating in sports. These challenges include but are not limited to adequate training gear which includes sport braas, sport tights, sanitary pads and proper training boots.
The Queen Lozikeyi Academy named after the Matabeleland Matriarch Leader who was the last Queen of the Matabeleland people before colonization is an elite Girls Soccer Academy. The Academy instills the ethos of personal development, grooming and etiquette, leadership, integrity, resilience and various other important life skills. Most of the girls who play for the Queen Lozikeyi Academy are also involved in other professional pursuits including furthering their academic and vocational training and development.
Your contribution to this fund will make it possible for us to keep the institute going and expand our outreach to other various platforms we would otherwise not be able to reach. In addition this will assist us in participating in International Competitions like the upcoming human rights cup www.humanrightscup.org to be held in Cape Town South Africa from 1- 10 December 2019.
