Qual Cd

Qual is a post-industrial band that have been recording since the 1980's. Qual's albums explore the way humans extend nature's themes, creating endless variations in the form of art, music, philosophy, religion, architecture, science, and other forms of mythology. Qual is committed to creating music which heightens awareness of the inter-connectedness of all life systems (challenging notions of "Otherness") to further the cause of peace. Qual is seeking benefactors to support the recording and release of it's ambitious albums. This body of work will incorporate rock and classical instrumentaion along with samples of "found sounds" collected at industrial sites as diverse as abandoned factories, waste transfer facilities, electrical generator stations, and water treatment stations. The resulting product will be a sonic meditation on how humans draw inspiration from nature's themes and create endless variations in all areas of culture and civilization. This work is a redefining of what is natural and what is man made, a distinction which we have always viewed as an abstract falsehood of semantics. We see all human activity as an extension of nature's ongoing process of creation and any separation between humans and nature as illusory.
