I hope that you and your family are all safe and doing well, my prayers and thoughts to those friends & families who are battling the COVID – 19 virus, rest assured we will all come out of this together. May all those people who lost their lives will rest in peace and their memories shall remain with us. We will remember them all for their strength they had while fighting the virus for their lives.
I would also like to thank all those people who are in the front-line fighting for us against the unknown enemy. We salute you and are continuously praying for your safety and protection against this pandemic.
Statistics say that there are almost 70000 Nepalese Overseas Worker residing in Kuwait. Sources claim that this no. could be much higher as it is impossible to record those Nepalese who are illegally residing here.
Due to the recent turn of events caused by the COVID -19 pandemic, Kuwait has declared partial curfew and the country is under lock down since the 15th of March 2020. Two major cities Jleeb & Mahaboula, who are been hosting the largest labor community has been put under complete lock down and people are not neither allowed to enter nor leave.
Most people have lost their loved ones, have lost their jobs, and have lost their basic rights and also their freedom because of CORONA.
We have had reports of people from our Nepalese community that most of them are completely out of stock of their daily needs including food and water. Most of them have been terminated from their jobs and most are facing 'No Work No Pay'.
Together, we are facing a truly unprecedented situation. The global corona virus pandemic is affecting all of our families, our businesses, our communities, and our way of life. A lot of us are not in a position to help and it is not safe for us to go out and to reach the ones in need.
During these difficult times I am appealing my friends, brothers and sisters to involve themselves in identifying those who are in need and to help us generate the funds needed to address these problems. Money is not everything, your health and safety comes first but with small contributions we can save our community from many different types of situations brought to us by this disaster. We need to help ourselves and during these times we need to take care for each other. We might not have another tomorrow so stop thinking and start working.
We are requesting your presence in helping these who are in need with whatever resources you can. Better if you can contribute financially and If you cannot help us identify those who are in need and to spread the word. You can take your time to reach out to your community and see what needs to be done to help those who are in need.
"God Bless us All. Thank You for understanding. Stay safe, take care of yourselves and your family and hopefully we will see each other soon."
