Put life back into Old World War 2 Control Tower

Re-open a café, bakery in a old RAF Control Tower, while doing so turn into a museum of the history of the airfield and control tower.

ABOUT MYSELF : As a survivor of sexual, mental and emotional abuse. I have decided to channel my passion for food into my business. Home produced products from the heart made with LOVE.

PROJECT: I am looking to re-open a café, bakery and museum within a old control tower, which I would like to have as much history of the airfield and control tower, As so much of history is being lost or destroyed, and it would be a shame if the same happened to this building.

I have been in contact with the squadrons that were based here during in WW2 and they are providing me with information from there records. I am also intending on going to the RAF museum and researching the archives for any information on the airfield and control tower.

In time I would like to employ people that have survived domestic abuse, and also help homeless people to get back on the their feet. It is also my intention to hold charity fundraiser to raise funds for RAF Benevolent fund, Royal British Legion, SSAFA, also local RNLI and Air Ambulance these are just a few.

Unfortunately, due to the previous people in the control tower they have left it in a state of dis-repair which does mean that I have to put all this right before I can re-open the café.

I am a fully qualified chef, I have several years experience working in hotel and restaurant's, also several years of baking and producing award winning preserves and Cakes, and I'm fully updated date with my hygiene etc qualifications.

The café and bakery will offer a selection of food, products that are suitable for a variety of dietary requirements including Dairy Free, Gluten/ Wheat Free, Vegan and Vegetarian.

As there are a couple of rooms within the café, it also makes it a ideal meeting place for local groups to hold the meetings.

I have some of the equipment that is needed, but still need other items

Also would like to open as a school to teach other people how too bake etc.
