Campaign Story
Disabled children from poor background are 4 times as vulnerable as an ordinary child. They need a lot of support be and attention in terms of basic needs like diapers, physiotherapy and medication, wheelchairs, food, uniform, covid 19 protection, well designed teaching methodology and very supportive parents. Adsmile special project's mission is to "Add a smile" on the faces of disabled children by reaching out to friends, volunteers, donors and sponsors and well wishers to come to their rescue. The rescue is to ensure fair living standards of the disabled children by providing basic needs to enable them go through education in a conducive manner.

There was little or no food at times, some of the children could not attend physiotherapy and medication sessions, some ran out of diapers. From the Ksh. 32,000 we raised with some friends, we were able to feed 6 families out of. . . . .

Update posted by James Ole Mpilei at 11:36 amDisabled children are already vulnerable. They depend on poor parents/caregivers and now with total lockdown due to coronavirus, their fate is sealed. They don't have important basic needs like food which they need before schools open. $5 is enough to get one day's meal for one child hence a smile
