Pura Vida Dauin Employees Fundraiser

Pura Vida Beach and Dive Resort has been a favorite not only in the local market, but also the international market since it opened in the year 2004. Since then we have seen ups and downs but we always managed to keep our heads held high and not look into negativity the world brings.

During this world crisis, that was brought by the Covid-19 virus, the resort was forced to cease operations in March by the government to control the rapid spread of the virus. The government will continue to temporarily close all tourism establishments until end of September. The executive order given by the government has greatly affected the resort and its employees. The government is supporting all the families with rice and some basic food items. There was also a one-time financial aid of five thousand pesos (Php 5,000) was given to all affected employees by Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and a one-time five thousand pesos (Php. 5,000) financial aid was also given by the Management of Pura Vida to support their employees and their families during this difficult time.

Although there has been help from the government and the management, we believe that it will not be enough to sustain our needs for at least five (5) months without any income. We have decided to raise funds with the amount of one million four hundred seventy-five thousand pesos (Php 1,475,000.00) to help us with our financial needs such as medicine, rent, electricity bill, water bill, and etc. due to the temporary loss of employment. The donation fund will be managed and distributed by the Pura Vida management. The funds will be equally divided by fifty-nine (59) employees for five (5) months at five thousand pesos (Php 5,000) per employee. This donation is voluntary and any amount will be a big help to all of us.
