PUG SAFEHOUSE IN CHENGDU

SHE IS THE REASON.

Seeing her brought me to my knees.

SHE HAD HER EYES RIPPED OUT BY OTHER DOGS.There were others .. ones who died from pneumonia, others who bled out from Distemper, internal injuries from being attacked by other dogs.

All this happened after they were rescued and arrived at the big shelter which houses 3000 rescues dogs.

IT IS BECAUSE OF THEM ... that I have decided enough is enough. It is for all the other pugs still there that we are raising funds for a SAFEHOUSE FOR PUGS in Chengdu.

WE CURRENTLY HAVE 68 PUGS in Chengdu. SIXTY EIGHT!!! 20 in Sister Ke’s shelter, 11 at another temp safe shelter, 16 at a temporary warehouse sitting in cages waiting for the Safehouse, a couple critical ones at the hospital and a few waiting at the big shelter but we will get them ALL out.

Now the GOOD NEWS is we FOUND A PLACE. Sister Ke is moving her shelter into a bigger space & the property has a house on it that will be just for the pugs. We will need to pay 1 YEAR RENT plus pay for 2 employees to be there to take care of the pugs, plus medical expenses for the very sick pugs like the baby I posted yesterday.

The total for all this is $12,000-$15,000! FOR A YEAR of rent plus employees! I think this is totally doable! With the money we raised already we are setting up a GoFundMe with a $10,000 goal.

This property will be ready in mid September. I will post photos and updates once I am sure we get it.

THE PUGS NEED THIS. They will continue to die, to be ripped apart by other dogs, to suffer. But WE can band together and raise these life saving funds! I know it’s overwhelming but it can be done, we can do something incredible for this breed that we love which has never been done before!
