Puerto Viejo Volunteers

MISSION:  

 Dedicated educators and teaching partners building a "Creative & Cultural Acedemia" will be traveling throughout the Costa Rica southeastern and northwestern regions volunteering humanitarian services, national parks and wildlife preservation, childcare and teaching english as a second language. Creating cultural exchange programs and activities through the use of art and academics. Programs will be created and implemented with the assistance and knowledge of native Costa Rican professors, instructors, teachers, Tico guides, and local craftspeople and artisans. Community and cultural exchange.

PROJECTS: 

  Teaching (english), Wildlife conservation and preservation (Cahuita National Park, Armonia Nature Preserve, Refugio Nacional Gandoca-Manzanillo), Eco-agriculture and "green" farming, art exchange and music bazaar (crafts and music free-trade fair)

REWARDS:

 Sponsors will be rewarded with the general success of the community arts and cultural exchange. Donors who give generously ($40 or more) will be given an opportunity to obtain authentic crafts, artifacts, gifts, and/or souvenirs collected along the journey (Costa Rica/Panama). Donors who give excessively ($100 or more) will be offered the chance to visit and participate in the one of the many projects in collaboration with other community members, volunteers, professional travelers and locals. Room and board can be provided for solo travelers and couples looking to participate and volunteer their time and services. All sponsors no matter how large or small the donation will be able to stay update with the latest information and progress on the cultural exchange. There will be a blog and newsletter that will be posted and frequently updated tracking the progress and success of each project and adventure as it unfolds. Thank you for any support. PURA VIDA!
