Nightlife is central to the Puerto Vallarta LGBTQ culture in the Romantic Zone. Those whose primary source of income is in nightlife are currently experiencing economic insecurity as a result of bar and nightclub closures in light of the COVID19 pandemic. The purpose of the Puerto Vallarta Nightlife Relief Fund (PVNRF) is to provide financial relief to workers in the nightlife industry for as long as the current crisis continues. People in PV nightlife literally live off of their tips as minimum wage is only $120 pesos ($4.91 USD) per day and with no stimulus checks or government assistance in sight, they need our help now more than ever.
On Saturday, May 23rd, 2020, drag star Sutton Lee Seymour and Billboard Recording Artist and PVNRF founder, Brian Kent, joined forces and hosted a star-studded LIVE stream on YouTube and Facebook to raise money to be distributed to local beneficiaries and benefitting over 150 employees in the industry. The show consisted of LIVE performances and appearances by your favorite local and international celebrities all to benefit many of those affected by this pandemic in the nightlife industry here in Vallarta.

Our first campaign will benefitted the staffs of La Noche, Reinas, Garbo, Mantamar, Blondies, Los Otros Blondies, WET, The Top, Margarita Bar, and Mr Flamingos. All funds will be given to the employees of those establishments directly. After original disbursement, all funds will go directly to additional nightlife employees of LGBTQ establishments in the Romantic Zone via a lottery system until the fund has reached its goal.
