£508.00raised of £460.00 goal goal
Psoriatic Arthritis is a painful, crippling and rapidly progressing disease which is estimated to affect at least 30% of the 3% of the population who suffer from Psoriasis, with about 80% of sufferers getting Psoriasis before the arthritis symptoms occur.
Shockingly, no country has backed an Official Awareness Ribbon for this condition, so last year a patient group raised funds and produced the FIRST EVER Official Awareness Ribbon. Awareness Ribbons are a great way to bring a condition into the public arena for discussion, fundraising, lobbying for research and fostering understanding. The first batch of ribbons when sold will fund future runs of the ribbon, however we want to continue fundraising at the moment so that we can advertise the existence of the ribbon, publicise the campaign, and also pay for a limited number of ribbons to be posted out to high profile people who will help raise awareness by wearing the ribbon.
For every £2 you donate you will receive a free ribbon. We have been and are continuing to liaise with Psoriasis & Arthritis Charities to provide sales channels for the ribbon and have received enthusiatic support for what we are doing. A company has committed to selling them for us through their website, for no profit. We have also been in contact with US and International groups who are willing to adopt our ribbon design and take this global!

This isn’t just about creaky joints - This disease can affect your eyes, your lungs, your kidneys, your heart, even your blood. Pain is constant and the only ’respite’ is if it moves to a different place in your body and gives the last place a rest.
Be a pioneer and help us by donating today - and be one of the first to get a free ribbon! Ultimately, any funds left over after our project is complete will be donated to Psoriatic Arthritis research.

As a PSA sufferer it is great to see that there is now an awareness ribbon. I just had to support this cause to help raise awareness. Well done for setting this up.
