We are a Satellite club for disability sport, I want to raise funds to help support the operation and development of the disability element of the Club's activities.

Putteridge Swimming Club is a performance sports club. Putteridge Swimming Club are also heavily involved in growing triathlon and duathlon events and developing this section has been a success.

The club has developed athletes performing at National and International meets from triathlon, para swimming and swimming. We have even had participation in Olympic qualification meets too!!!

The main reason for my participation in the London Marathon is to raise funds for our disability section. Working with children primarily with physical and mental disability just shows that the club wants to support those who may not have joined a club if this wasn't on offer. When you see what these kids put themselves through, training alongside able bodied swimmers being part of a great team shows what a great club this is.

However this all comes at a cost. Pool and Gym time along with kit and equipment needs can make this a very costly excercise. The benefits to everybody in the club are immense, intergration with each other and giving those who have challenges everyday the ability to achieve and be supported by our wonderful coaches and parents makes you really understand how special the club is.

Please dig deep and make a difference to those children who make the club so special and unique.
