Drinking Water Issue in Gaza:

There is no simple narrative about water in the State of Palestine. It’s one about Gaza, But for a child – or a family — it’s access to safe water that ultimately matters. In Gaza, there is an acute water crisis. Over 95 percent of households have a tap where clean water once flowed, but today the water is no longer safe to drink. In the last 15 years, the situation in Gaza has gone from bad to worse: only one in 10 households now has direct access to safe water.

Now less than four percent of fresh water is drinkable and the surrounding sea is polluted by sewage. Yet the international community is failing to do enough to protect the health and dignity of almost 2 million people who have nowhere else to go.

People in Gaza depends on the desalination plants to get their daily amount of drinking water, they desalinate it, and truck it to houses, with high costs comparing with the daily income of the family in Gaza (about 10 dollars per 1000 litres monthly).

Our Team efforts:

We are a team working in Gaza volunteering at Safaa development Association (Established, Registered and has a license No. 8007), we are seeking to help our people delivering their needed allocation of drinking water, we have a lot of families here search for whom can give them a hand to support them and their families continue in their lives and obtain the decent life they deserve.

Each family needs about 10 dollars monthly to get their needing drinking water, Thus we are looking forward to help 100 families in Gaza for two months, especially at the time of summer season entry when the demand on drinking water increases.

مشكلة مياه الشرب في غزة:

نحن فريق عمل في غزة يتطوع في جمعية صفاء التنموية (مؤسسة ، مسجلة ، ولديها رخصة رقم 8007) ، نسعى لمساعدة شعبنا في توفير ما يحتاجونه من مياه الشرب ، لدينا الكثير من العائلات هنا تبحث عن من يمكن أن يمد لهم يد العون لهم وأسرهم لتستمر في حياتها ومن أجل الحصول على الحياة الكريمة التي يستحقونها.

تحتاج كل أسرة إلى حوالي 10 دولارات شهريًا للحصول على مياه الشرب التي تحتاجها ، وبالتالي نتطلع إلى مساعدة 100 أسرة في غزة لمدة شهرين ، خاصة في وقت دخول فصل الصيف عندما يزداد الطلب على مياه الشرب.
