Black Star Education Foundation Inc. Is committed to helping the people of Ajumako District in the Central Region of Ghana.

Black Star Education Foundation has realized a need for creating income earning opportunities for women and desires to make a difference in women’s lives in the central region of Ghana by providing micro-financing for small business startups, offering academic scholarships, and assisting with trade school classes.

It is helping to educate local families and high school students on eco-friendly ways of living. The Ecovillage all starts with educating people and showing them how they can live a healthy and sustainable life. Our idea is to implement an ecovillage in the Central Region of Ghana thus enabling the local villagers the ability to live in a safe and earth friendly manner.

Black Star Education Foundation will acquire a two acre plot in which to create our ecovillage. We will plant gardens, build a chicken coop, a goat pen, a tiny house, and plant many fruit bearing trees. The ecovillage will also be used for education. We will have classes to teach best practices of local growing and use of local materials . We will educate on how to reuse as much as possible; even what may have been normal waste, such as plastic bags and plastic water bottles.

We need your support and donation to help us expand by building a trade specific secondary school, a free medical clinic and continued support of women’s initiatives.

Your help is greatly appreciated and needed and we value every donation regardless of amount. All funds raised go directly to support the programs we have created. For additional information, and to make a donation, please visit our website www.blackstaredu.org .

Thank you for supporting this good cause!
