Protection of the family

My name is Anthony Ambrosini, I’m 22 years old and love my family, my

friends and my sport above all else! I have Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy

but I don’t let it define me. I play electric wheelchair sports such as

power rugby, power hockey and you might have heard of Powerchair

football (PCF). It’s a modified version of the world game football.

Along

with my teammates we went over to Sydney in January to compete at the

Club Championship playing for the Perth Glory PCF team. Once again this

September we will be travelling this time to Brisbane for the National

Competition playing for WA PCF team.

Powerchair football has

become a worldwide phenomenon. Last year the World Cup was held in

Florida to which an Australian team was sent and ranked 4th in the

competition.
