Protect my right to self-preservation

Just like in the USA, the South African government is trying its best to prevent us from owning weapons for self-defence, and even sport.

I am awaiting my licence for a 9mm CZ P-09 (but this has been pending for 9 months!). I require approximately $5000 to get an AR-15 platform rifle as well as a semi-automatic shotgun and ammunition. Our legislation also requires specified safes, legal actions etc, all of which end up costing a small fortune. If I can get my "dedicated sportsman" accreditation I may purchase these weapons.

I am currently in active military service and IPSC shooter. The firearms will serve to both protect myself and my family, as well as allow me to compete at a National level.
