Dr Yousuf Ur Rahman, aged 39, currently serving the ministry of health in Bangladesh as a Medicine Consultant needs our help in battling unforeseen life threatening cancer. Young and bright Dr. Tutul has been diagnosed with locally advanced rectal carcinoma and has been receiving treatments in Singapore General Hospital since February 2018. Growing up in a middle class family of 7 brothers and 3 sisters, Dr. Tutul had to overcome numerous socio economic challenges to get to the stage where he is in today. With Sheer brilliance, hard work and motivation, he has become a prominent and well recognized doctor working for the Govt. of Bangladesh. His reputation as a doctor goes above and beyond that he has listed patients that do not prefer any other doctor but him.
Dr. Tutul could have easily chosen a career in the West and make a fortune with his academic and professional caliber, instead he chose to stay and retain his service for the common men, women and children in Bangladesh. His wife Dr. Shamsunnahar Shaima who is also a doctor in profession joined forces with him to dedicate their lives serving the people in the country. Dr. Tutul and Dr. Shaima are also blessed with a beautiful 6 year old daughter.
The doctors and specialists handling his case in Singapore General Hospital are very optimistic about his full recovery. However, the cost of the total treatment (approximate 60,000 USD / BDT 50 lakhs) is not something that Dr. Tutul and his family at this stage of his career are capable of affording. He has already completed neo adjuvant radio chemotherapy which had costed his family 25,000 USD / BDT 22 Lakhs (approximately). His ultimate treatment is surgery which is expected to take place in early July of 2018.
For the due reasons that he chose to be one of those doctors that would serve the mankind and not use hist talent and ability to mint the opportunity just for himself and / or his family; I wholeheartedly invite everyone who is reading this letter to come forward and help Dr. Tutul win this battle and empower him to get back to his noble mission of saving lives of thousands of people that needs him to be there for their survival.
Any help and contribution will be remembered and thoroughly appreciated by Dr. Tutul and his family.
