PROJECT:Ki.D.S.

PROJECT: Ki.D.S. (Kids Devoted to Sharing), is a non-profit, non-stock organization devoted to its advocacy in leading children to share and care. It started in 2013 when Visayas was strongly hit by typhoon YOLANDA. As a family, we started the project by gathering children of families and friends to collect toys to be sent to Tacloban in time for the Christmas season. Though it has been a family tradition to give to street children, we wanted the children in the family to be more involved in planning, preparation and implementation of the project.

The Yolanda project allowed our own children to become more aware of kids outside of our homes who need help, care and love.

Last year, Gota de Leche, an institution that helps malnourished kids asked for our help to sustain their 10-month program of providing milk and vitamins for over 80 children in Manila. At first, we thought it will be impossible, but with the help of generous sponsors and friends, we were able to raise around 200,000 pesos to provide nourishment for these kids. To date, we continue to provide support to Gota de Leche by providing Milk and other basic needs.

PROJECT: Ki.D.S. believes that for children to understand the power of sharing and giving, they have to be inspired to lead and make a difference. As children learn by doing, they will be inspired to take action. Kids are encouraged to volunteer in all our projects.

The PROJECT: Ki.D.S. wish to continue its advocacy of making children help other children through the guidance and supervision of their parents and guardians, through; children involvement, value-laden workshops, partnering with other organizations with the same advocacy and fund raising ptojects.
