I wish my daughter would peacefully listen to the therapeutic sound of the rain as it pounds the ironsheets of our little mud house coated with cow dung, and fearlessly drift away into dreamland filled with beautiful dreams. The once in a while smile I see on her face when she is asleep tells me that despite her silence since birth, she dreams too.I understand  there is no cure for autism; and I accept that the best I can do is provide a healthy and sound environment for my daughters to grow. Yes; there are two of them but the younger one, who just turned three is doing fine.

Naliaka's story is as long as the 8 years she's been on earth, but in the 8 yrs; my mother and I have struggled to see her and the rest of the family through, making it difficult to own a decent home. As much as the house is going down to its knees,it has served us diligently and holds beautiful memories. I believe it's time to give the tired house a break and built something modern and decent  for Naliaka's sake especially. Her health has deteroriated especially due to the wet weather. The sogginess of the walls and sprouting of mould around the house has affeceted her respiratory system. The roof leaks and we have to keep shifting beds and furniture around the rooms whenever the rain pours.

This money will go towards a bit of landscaping (the piece of land has a rocky terrain),purchase of building materials, construction of the house,Plumbing and drainage, fencing for protection and installation of water and electricity. We also intend create a safe play space for the girls and possibly start play sessions with themed lifeskills for other children around our neighborhood. I am a good coach.

This house will host a family. A family that includes you and I, because I intend to host a "thank you" tea party the Kenyan way, for as many as all who will give towards this noble endevour and can afford to join us at our village in Kakamega.

The first donor of one hundred Euros will receieve a cool piece of African painting originally done by the best artists in Kenya. Actually there are several pieces available and you will have a chance to select your favorite. You will not get such pieces of art elsewhere!
