Compasion & Search/Rescue Dog

Greetings..... We are hoping to find financing for a multiple purpose dog that is capabile of both Search & Rescue as well as Compassion Dog (used in Hospitals with children). This is a very unique calling since its very hard to find a dog that can handle both functions. Search and Rescue dogs are generally hyper active while Compassion dogs are typcially very mellow. Our goal is to raise funds to find a starter dog able to handle both tasks. Long term we are hopeful that this will expand to other agrencies in the region with a purpose of service first, and consolidated efforts to help children in need. 

We are currently seeking assistance in the funding of a rare breed of canine that will help multiple communities. It’s not common to find a canine trained in both Search & Rescue and also the Compassion aspect of trained dogs in service.

* Typically dogs trained in Search & Rescue are hyper active and require goals to “find and advise”.

*The compassion dog is commonly used to treat children in hospitals (low key & laid-back) during challenging times and is generally mellow in nature.

 Our mission is to find a canine able to handle both roles! We believe the foundation is there for a multiple tasked companion who can do both. (Search & Rescue) & (Shriner’s Hospital). Typically a dog and handler training ranges from 30k-35k in specialized training. We have found a couple of organizations who are willing to customize this education in an effort to breach the 2 functions into one customized training that includes both canine and handler. This is not a systematic common approach. California is looking to revolutionize this approach at dual canine support in an ever growing multiple agency design. Your contributions will lead directly to these 2 tasked in accomplishment of the common goal of dual purpose of a voluntary dog in a volunteering organization.

We work with, Shriners, Northern California DMAT (Disaster Medical Assistance Team) & MRC (Medical Reserve Corp) in the local community.
