Project: Women’s Shelter Christmas

Hello,

Danville is a small town. The population is 30,000 people. I am a fourteen year old, local public school student that wants to make a small differernce in my community. That difference may be small or large but a differrence is a difference. Our community is very fortunate to have a local womens shelter. I am actually very surprised to see that the women's shelter is still providing its services while relying on private donations alone. The women's shelter houses women and children that are victms of rape, sexual assault, physical abuse and many other types of violence. These women are lucky that they have a secure and safe place to go. The holiday season is upon us, I would like to raise one thousand dollars with your help! The would be used to get gifts for the children and small toiletry items for the women. Most of the women stay at the shelter temporarily. They only stay for a few days and don't have many luxry items. The only thigs that they have are the things that they packed in their garbage bags. Please help my local women's shelter!
