Project Water in Botswana Tobane
When we were on Tobane, we found that water is the greatest and most urgent needs. So this year (2014) , Our team present this project :

What do we need ?
we ask, in a spirit of brotherhood and mutual support, your assistance in obtaining an artesian wells and the construction of sanitary toilets.

What’s our situation ?
Tobane is a small town in the eastern portion of Botswana about 20 km from the copper / nickel mining town of Selebi-Phikwe. This town continue to grow even it’s located in a neglected part of the city, all the roads are in poor condition. Although there is rarely water, especially during the day. Sometimes, the lack of water lasts for days. To remedy this situation, several families have dug shallow wells, but the water quality is poor. This water is polluted by 3,700 people crammed into the two slums and there is no garbage collection service.

Who are the Beneficiaries ?
a) Citizens
- If we have helped , several people will benefit from this project , they really need to drink water.
- It takes water and proper toilets to ensure a healthy environment.
- Without clean water and good toilet, we are not immune to diseases such as cholera and dysentery … In addition, people who come to church bring water bottles that are a Another source of pollution to our environment.
b) Young people
Young people are the majority in the town. Many leave school in primary. With no training, they are often unemployed. 75% of theme come from poor families who are unemployed too.
Our project is truly a meeting place for many of these young people: they are practicing sport and they get together for activities or seminars spiritual, moral and human formation. Others come in the evening to study because they do not have electricity at home. During these hours, they need water and toilets which currently are in deplorable conditions.
c) Poor children
During the day, the school buildings in Tobane are used for approximately 200 children aged 4 to 12 years. They come from the poorest families. Parents can not afford the fees charged by other schools. They also need a good drinking water and functioning toilets.

What’s our goal ?
We decided that we had to dig artesian wells to address the lack of water. We want to provide quality water to those who come to Tobane and people nearby. In addition, we decided it was necessary to build adequate toilets, according to standards.

What’s the cost ?
For artesian wells & toilets , the estimates cost would be about $ 35 000,00.

We certify that this project is at any point what the community wants and what she needs. If you help us to dig the well and build the toilet, it will solve the problem for many years. We hope that our project will receive a warm welcome from generous benefactors.
