Dear Community leader,
Most people come from humble beginnings. This is where people get their start and learn some of their biggest life lessons. I, Joshua Okpara, would like to give back to the place, that contributed to the person that I am today, Lagos Nigeria. It was not just any place in Lagos, but in Warder Barracks. To this day, the people are dealing with bad roads, bad drainage systems, and water scarcity.
Over the summer, I will be going back to Warder Barracks to give back to the community by supplying clean water, paying school fees of children who cannot go to school due to the lack of funds, and provide computers for the school that I went to in the area.
Currently, I am receiving donations via GoFundMe, a fundraising website online, and through family and friends. So far, I have only received $140 dollars. I would need much to truly supply the needs of the people. Therefore, I have reached out to you and other people like you that have had such an immense impact on the Denton community as well as other surrounding communities in the area. You all are who I aspire to be in my community in Warder Barracks. I need your help. A small donation or even just to spread the word to other community leaders that can help, would be a great support.
To show where your contributions are going to and how they have helped, I will be documenting the things that I supply by taking pictures and videos. Your contributions will not be in vain. Thank you for being a blessing and for helping me be a blessing to my community.
