Hello lovely people!
Ever since I set my foot aboard a boat I immediately fell in love with sailing. I have been developing this passion my entire life by struggling with waves and wind as well as enjoying the sailing culture and traditions (the good ones of course). I have obtained my licences and certificates and gained new experience every time I sailed. There is no bigger beauty in life for me than being in the middle of the open sea and listening to ballads sung by the wind.
I am 25 now and I promised myself that one day I will be one of those who want to preserve this old and yet extraordinary tradition by introducing it to the young as well as adult people. My idea is that I will organise cruises and various sailing events aboard my vessel and let people ‘travel’ to the magical times of tall ships while teaching them seamanship and traditions.
Obviously such an enterprise requires a boat. But not just any boat! The sailing vessel I dream to buy is the marvellous, two-masted schooner, the sleek silhouette of which and the gaff rig bring forth what is the most beautiful and miraculous about sailing ships. I strongly believe a cruise on one of these with elements of sailing culture would be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I wish to buy a relatively small schooner (about 20 meters of length) - a bit smaller than the one in the picture. After that, having taken care of all the safety precautions, I shall start a campaign to encourage people to embark on this unique journey.
And so let us join forces and I am sure that together we can make this project happen. I realise that it is a costly investment but the more people take part in it, the greater chances of success we have to let the youth sail the old-fashioned way in this digital era we live in. Any help will be truly appreciated and I sincerely count on your support. Even if you wish not to contribute to the 'Valkyria' project, I kindly ask you to share this so that as many people as possible have a chance to familiarise themselves with my idea.
Best regards to you all!
