Project Spread English

Hi all! 

My name is Jordan and I am a recent grauduate of the University of Missouri School of Nursing. Since graduating, I have had the honor of serving our country's veterans as a Registered Nurse at the Harry S. Truman Veterans Hospital. I never could have imagined the joy this job would bring me. Meeting these men and women has forever changed my life and broadened my dreams and aspirations. Being able to talk to these veterans about their experiences all of the world has given me a deep desire to explore a new culture. My plans are halted due to my montly student loan payments. My parents were unable to help me throughout school, so I worked a full time job at a Children's Hospital  to pay for living and some of my classes, but it was never enough to stay on top of my loans. With help from strangers like you, I can fulfil my dream of donating my time to teach students english overseas. I have applied to a program through CIEE, which allows educated American's like myself to spend at least 6 months abroad teaching english to those who are passionate about learning. I will use the money I raise from the kindness of others to pay for my student loans while I am gone. Anything I do not use will go toward the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization I have become very passionate about since working with veterans.
