Campaign Story
Hello everyone!
I hope you and your family are safe and healthy.
As we all know, the whole world is fighting a battle against an invisible enemy known as SARS-COV-2 which brings the disease which we know as COVID-19. This has taken so much toll on the healthcare system especially in developing countries like the Philippines.
Our country is not fully equipped to deal with this kind of pandemic and it is very alarming how this virus quickly infects thousands and killing the life of many.
Our frontliners especially the healthcare workers are doing their best to prevent further spread of the virus and offer treatment to those who are infected with the disease. However, as our frontliners go to war against COVID-19, some of them take the fight without proper PPEs or Personal Protective Equipment.
PPEs are worn to protect the healthcare workers from contracting the virus and also prevent further spread of the disease to other people. These PPEs needed in the healthcare facilities are the mask, gloves, protective suit, goggles and face shield.
There has been a huge spike in the global demand for PPEs, thus prices have gone up causing so much shortage of PPEs for our healthcare workers especially those who are serving in public hospitals.
PPEs cannot be reused after being used to a single patient because it could spread the infection to other patients creating more harm than good. That is why hospitals are using so much PPEs especially during this time of pandemic.
Our frontliners are our last line of defense against COVID-19. If we let them down, the virus will pose so much threat in our country, in our community and in our family and we might not be able to see the world as it was before.
We have lost a lot of heroes who put their selves on the frontline to saves us. We cannot afford to lose some more.
So I am pleading for your help so we can help the people who are risking their lives in this battle - our frontliners.
No amount is too small and our collective effort could mean a huge difference to how this battle will end.
Let us all work together in this PROJECT SHARE A SMILE andlet us put a smile on the faces of our frontlinesrs.
WHAT ARE WE GOING TO BUY?
- SURGICAL MASK
- N95 MASK
- PROTECTIVE SUIT
- GOGGLES
- FACE SHIELD
WHERE ARE WE GOING TO SEND THE PPEs
These are the TOP 3 PRIORITY HOSPITALS taking care of COVID-19 Patients
- Lung Center of the Philippines
- Rodriguez Hospital in Tala, Caloocan
- University of the Philippines - Philippine General Hospital
We would like to focus on these government hospitals because they are heavily accepting lots of COVID-19 patients since they are GOVERNMENT DESIGNATED HOSPITALS FOR COVID-19 PATIENTS. Each hospitals are burning around 300 - 500 sets of PPEs per and that is really a high volume to maintain on a daily basis.
