Project Samosa

Hi! My friend, Rohita, and I have set up this page to fund our project, Project Samosa. To provide background, Rohita approached me with something that had deeply impacted her life, something we often overlook and shove under the more "important" things in life. When visiting her hometown in Andhra Pradesh, Rohita noticed the mindless bustle of people, all failing to recognize the poverty that plagued their streets. The feelings that had been cultivated by this incident stayed with Rohita when she came back to the United States so she decided to take action by creating "Project Samosa," a name inspired by the smiles that Rohita saw when people enjoyed this delicacy. Rohita and I appreciate the need for serivce because service, we learned, cultivates the artistry of humanity and reveals a deeper understanding of the people we share our world with. We will be taking this perspective to where it all started - Rohita's hometown of Vijayawada. We will create and distribute food packages through an NGO and create a documentary citing our experiences and interactions with the people we help.
