Project Kachin is a new project launched by Medicina Transcendente this year. The project aims to provide basic healthcare services for the internally displaced persons in Myitkyina, Myanmar through a 12-day medical expedition (19/07/2019 - 01/08/2019).
The mobile clinics will be conducted by a team of 20 medical students and doctors, who will be providing free consultations and medications at the camps. Project Kachin is one of three projects run by Medicina Transcendente, a non-profit organisation founded by medical students to reach out to underprivileged communities in Asia and establish long-term plans to improve the local standards of healthcare.
Funds gathered will go into the purchase of medications and medical equipment for the project.
